MOTs Explained

Your vehicle must meet specific safety and environmental standards to pass. If your car fails, we’ll recommend repairs before you can safely drive. If your vehicle passes, we’ll issue your MOT certificate right away.
Your MOT Certificate
If your vehicle passes the test, you’ll receive your MOT certificate, and you’re good to go. However, if your car fails, we’ll let you know the necessary repairs, timeframes, and costs before proceeding. We always ask for your approval before starting any work, so you can be confident in the cost and process.
You can book your MOT test up to 28 days before your current certificate expires, ensuring you’re covered for another 13 months. Driving without a valid MOT certificate can result in fines or penalty points on your licence.
